valogo.gif (2505 bytes) Recently (September, 1999) five of “Auntie’s Kids” performed in a training/promotional tape for the Virginia Council on Economic Education.  (Amy Chavis, Amandla Ferguson, Soleil Ferguson, Nate Schenker, and Elaine Usher.)
CHRISTOPHER AYRES, a past student of  Auntie’s,  has been in several Broadway productions as well as a touring revival of Peter Pan in which he played the title role.
MOLLY BEILHART recorded two public service announcements for commercial radio, including one for the National Parks System, which aired in the western U.S.
ELAINE CARROLL appeared as a paid extra in the feature film, First Kid.
STEVEN COLEMAN played a principal role in the feature film, Major Payne.
ALEX ENGLISH performed in a radio commercial for WAWB65, and completed modeling assignments for Crestar Bank and Fairfield Commons fashion show.
SOLEIL FERGUSON was the youngest recipient, in 1995, of the Rising Star Award, presented by the Audience Development Committee (Audelco) of New York City, on the strength of her performance in ‘Twas the Night Before Kwanzaa  at the Black Spectrum Theatre in New York City.  She also appeared as a paid extra in Spike Lee’s Crooklyn.  She was a 1997 recipient of the First Place Citywide Forensic Award for Poetry Recitation.

seal.gif (6840 bytes) AMANDLA FERGUSON performed in the public service announcement for the Commonwealth of Virginia Children's Medicap Security Insurance Program, which has been broadcast on television throughout the Commonwealth.
BRIAN FORD has appeared in radio commercials for Play It Again Sports and Jiffy Lube.  He has also appeared in a public service announcement for Stafford County Recycling Board.
MOLLIE MARR won a school-wide poetry award at Manchester Middle School.  She was also an award-winner in the state-wide Virginia Future Miss talent competition.  She also appeared in the motion picture, The Mommie Market.
COLIN NEWLIN has appeared in television commercials for Buick and Circuit City. He has also made appearances on Richmond’s WTVR, Channel 6.  He has also modeled for Belk, Neiman Marcus, Sears and many others.
ALLISON REUS was featured in a principal role in Theatre IV’s production of Weeping Mary in April of 1996.
EMILY SKINNER was nominated for a TONY for her Broadway role in Side Show. She played in The Dead at Playwright's Horizon from October 1 - November 3 in 1999.
